How would I describe the year 2019?

REVELATORY!

I took time to skim back over my journal from this past year and I am blown away by God’s goodness.  Don’t get me wrong, my family has been through some very trying and traumatic events and so have some of my best friends.   However, guess what?  I still see God’s goodness and faithfulness through it all!

HE IS WITH US.

I cannot stress to you the importance of having an intimate relationship with the Lord.  Hear His voice.  Seek His face. Don’t wait until tough times come.  Please be like the wise virgins who were already prepared and had oil in their lamps (Matthew 25:1-14).  God desires relationship with you in the good times as well as the difficult times.   Do not wait until the proverbial rug is pulled out from under your feet and your foundation seems shaken.   Build your peace and your assurance on the Rock of Jesus Christ.   That sounds so religious and cliche, but it is TRUTH.

The year 2019 has been a year of ALIGNMENTS AND SHIFTS!  I don’t say that lightly.  I really mean SHIFTS.  I remember feeling like I was in the middle of a snow globe that was violently shaken.  Everyone was floating around, waiting to find a place to land.   Earthquakes don’t seem peaceful do they?  Neither does a spiritual shaking.   Could the shaking have been avoided?   I don’t know.  Perhaps if different choices had been made, but maybe this was needed all along.  No matter what — those who lean on the Lord will be safe and on the right course.  He has such amazing plans for His children.

The year 2019 has also been FILLED with confirmations!  I am so grateful that God shows people the same things — bringing much needed confirmations.   (Thank You Lord!)

The shifts and the alignments have also brought different assignments.  Do you feel it?   What once was is no more and what once had a “grace to complete” the assignment has lifted.   With that said, we also have to discern the difference between spiritual exhaustion/weariness versus grace lifting.  Again, have the oil like the wise virgins BEFORE the situation arises.

Pardon the pun, but I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE what 2020 brings!  What does God have in store for us?  What wonders will our eyes SEE?

Clarity!

Focus!

Discernment!

As a friend prayed over us on Sunday — FORESIGHT!  NO MORE hindsight being 20/20.  FORESIGHT is ours!

I enter 2020 with great expectation and excitement — more than any year I can remember!

God bless each of you as we end 2019 with a BANG and enter into a decade of vision, clarity, and FOCUS!

2020!
