In 2019, God began giving me visions of things happening around me. I really didn’t know the depth of those pictures and dreams until they came to pass. As things unfolded, it was shocking and hurtful for so many people. If you’ve been in an organized church for a number of years, you have experienced “church hurt.” The thing about people is we are PEOPLE. NONE of us are perfect and we can hurt others, even if it isn’t intentional. We really need to walk in GREAT GRACE with others. People can be fragile and wounds in the soul can be triggered. I get it. I have been there.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Yesterday while praying for our church family, God reminded me that IT TAKES FIRE to release some seeds! Without the fire it is impossible for certain trees to release new life.
I am no expert in this, but I did read that some seed can’t be released until the resin is burned away. From what I understand, resin protects the tree from wounds. Let that sink in a moment. RESIN PROTECTS, yet resin is BLOCKING the release of a tree’s purpose.
It makes me wonder how many times I have been blocked, hindered, or delayed from GROWTH due to the resin in my own life. How about you?
We know there is resin blocking us when our go-to thoughts manifest REJECTION (I’m always rejected. I’ll stay in my box so that nobody can get close enough to hurt me again.); VICTIMIZATION (Bad things always happen to me. It isn’t fair! Why me?); ANGER/RAGE (Who do they think they are? I’ll hurt them before they can hurt me. Nobody will ever hurt me again!) … The list could go on and on.
When we see our friends hurting, it is troubling for sure. Sometimes we think the fire is bad, evil, hurtful, and destructive. Obviously it isn’t God’s plan. OR IS IT? STOP. Take in a deep breath and release all angst. Breathe again.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Yes, sometimes we need the FIRE in our lives to burn away the RESIN to release the seeds for LIFE and NEW GROWTH.
