Philippians 3:12
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

This morning, I felt I should read in Philippians. This scripture really stood out to me.

Just last weekend, a precious lady saw me jumping over hurdles — then jumping up on a stage where the enemy couldn’t locate me. Jumping over hurdles — overcoming — pressing on!

How do we press on? What are we to take hold of in Christ? What do you think?

This morning, as soon as I got up to spend time with the Lord the accuser was in my ear, “You failed at fasting yesterday. You broke your fast early.” Then I immediately saw a scene from about 6 years ago when I was praying over someone. WHAT!?!?! Devil, shut up. Seriously, I had to intentionally stop viewing that scene. I had to intentionally not focus on my failure yesterday.

Philippians 3:13b-14
But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

We MUST press on toward the GOAL to WIN THE PRIZE!

I know that I will be walking in places I’ve never been before. I am in new waters now and there is no reason to look back. No reason to view the past. It is BEHIND me. Even yesterday is BEHIND ME.

I can see myself pressing into something with my shoulder. Pushing back the unknown that would try to hinder me.

Philippians 3:20
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our citizenship isn’t even HERE. We are a peculiar people. A royal priesthood. Can people tell that we are different or do we blend in with the wordly citizens?

1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Ponder these scriptures in your heart today and PRESS ON family! Press on!
