I don’t know about you, but I love having the accountability to learn a new scripture each week. I have to confess though that I haven’t spent enough time on last week’s verse and am still going over it!!!
Last weeks memory verse was:
John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father full of grace and truth. (NIV)
Oh wow, how powerful is that scripture?!?!? Since the “Word” in this scripture is referring to JESUS, I immediately thought of the scripture in Hebrews about the word of God. Watch this …
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God [JESUS] is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it [HE] penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it [HE] judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Did you ever think about the scripture that way since JESUS IS THE WORD who became flesh? He is living and active because HE IS RISEN. He does penetrate and divide. He is GOD. He does judge our hearts. He IS full of grace and truth.
I am grateful for Jesus! How about you?

Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Jesus Rocks.. !!!! I don't think the English language has a word to describe how grateful I am for Jesus! I love that verse.. okay, I will do my best to memorise it this week.. maybe saying it to everyone I meet will help! lol..

You brought back some old memories with that scripture. I had a shirt that said on the back~ I am NOT ashamed of the gospel! It was an awesome shirt that I got at Methodist teen church camp. I wish I still had it!
