It is amazing what can change in a year.  This photo was taken of my Daddy in June, 2011.  My Mom was in the hospital and my sister and I had met at our parent’s home for Father’s Day.   Daddy was so much stronger then.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

This is a road my family hasn’t walked before.  My precious Daddy who will be 90 on Tuesday has really gone down hill the past few weeks.  This weekend took us to a new level as we watched our once strong father transition …

I feel a bit numb.   I can tell I have retreated from all that I can release.

There is a time for everything and a season for everything under heaven.

Even in this season, I praise the Lord.  I love Him and He has provided favor even in this time in more ways that I can count.

Thank you for praying for my family.  Please join us in praying peace for my parents — especially my Daddy at this time in his life.
