Today I link with Iris at Grace Alone to share my thankful heart for all of my blessings. Today Iris shared the love scriptures from 1 Corinthians.

1 Corinthians 13:1-7
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I’m sure many of us are thinking about the meaning of love as we approach Valentine’s Day. So with this on my heart, I will share a list of the LOVE blessings I have.

  • I am thankful for the love of Father God. I can’t fathom it!
  • I am thankful for a much more mature love that I have with my husband.
  • I am thankful for the innocent love of a child. She loves with total abandon.
  • I am thankful for the unconditional love of my parents.
  • I am thankful for the love I have for my extended family. It has come full circle.
  • I am thankful for the love of my friends. Even those in Christ who I have never met in person. There is a Christian bond that is strong and I am grateful for you all!
Ephesians 3:17-19
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
