I am asking God for clarity in a situation.   Several have approached me lately about something similar and I don’t want to miss God if this is from Him.

Have you ever been in this place?

I have no doubt that because I love His Word and meditate on it, that the Word will lead me in the right direction — even as I wait for confirmation.

Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Please bring clarity and confirmation Lord God … I love you!

At 3am I was suddenly awake and all I could do was thank Him for all that I have and for Who He is in my life.   Songs of praise began to rest in my heart and then I was wide awake.

Seek Him in the morning …

The other day, the Lord gave me such a surprise!  It was unexpected and so sweet!

I faced the dreaded duty of weeding through the stacks in our office to begin the preparation of tax season.  First on my list that day was the farm taxes, however, I wanted to spend time with God.  I chose to start my day with Him and the next thing I knew I had zoomed through 10 chapters in the Bible, written in my journal, and had time to just talk with the Lord.  I kept looking up at the clock and the hands barely moved!  God supernaturally extended my entire day!  There is no other way to describe it.  I was able to get most of the tax information together and had time to enter the information into a spreadsheet.  But it was ONLY because God stretched out my time.  I knew what He was doing and continually thanked Him.

This morning I opened my devotional to read this:

Trust Me enough to spend ample time with Me, pushing back the demands of the day.  Refuse to feel guilty about something that is so pleasing to Me, the King of the universe.  Because I am omnipotent, I am able to bend time and events in your favor.  You will find that you can accomplish more in less time after you have given yourself to Me in rich communion.  Also, as you align yourself with My perspective, you can sort out what is important and what is not.

Don’t fall into the trap of being constantly on the go.  Many, many things people do in My Name have no value in My kingdom.  To avoid doing meaningless works, stay in continual communication with Me.  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;  I will counsel you with My eye upon you.   (Jesus Calling, by Sarah Young)

Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with My loving eye on you.

Our guidance and direction has a direct correlation with our relationship with God.  The more time we spend with Him, the more He directs our paths.   It is His desire to instruct, teach, and counsel us.   He sent His wonderful Holy Spirit here to earth to be our Counselor, Teacher, and Comforter.   I am grateful!  Aren’t you?

I encourage you seek God first thing in the morning.  Begin your day with the Author and Creator of all time and direction.

Psalm 63:1
O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.

Have a wonderful Monday everyone!
