I am joining my buddy Nan over at Momstheword for her Summer Cleaning Frenzy! Yes, I need the accountability! I have two rooms that desperately need some help — and ALL of my closets are in desperate need.
Nan asked us to post a list of what we have planned for the room we have chosen.
My first room is OUR MASTER BEDROOM!
* Pick up every piece of CLOTHING that seems to pile in every nook and cranny!
* Dust
* vacuum
* PAINT the wanescoating & mantle (waaaa, yes I said it). The bad thing about painting will be the shutters on the windows (double waaaaaaaaaaa).
* Wash the figurines and light globes.
* If I can get my husband to remove the ceiling fan blades, I’ll paint them too. They were WHITE once upon a time. I’d be ashamed for you to see them now. I CANNOT believe Sen. Elizabeth Dole changed clothes in that nasty room! I’m still in shock and can’t believe that happened back in July (lol).
Ok, so it is out there. Now I have to do it! I’ll take a “before” and “after” picture. I don’t know if the pictures will do it justice — we will just have to see. If I get really ambitious, I might find some inexpensive MATCHING night stands. Our bedroom is a hodgepodge of old stuff.
Yikes … this is not going to be fun, but it needs to be DONE. Am I nuts for posting this? WHEN will I find the time to do this?

I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE BEFORE AND AFTER. YOU KNOW BETH I HAVE NOT SEEN MY MASTER BEDROOM FLOOR IN THE CLOSET IN A LONG TIME, I NEED TO CLEAN OUT THAT CLOSET BECAUSE THE REST OF THE ROOM IS COOL. I JUST HAVE CLOTHES THAT SEEM TO BE EVERYWHERE I WOULD LOVE TO THROW THEM ALL OUT AND START OVER BUT I AM TOO FRUGAL.
WE ARE WANTING TO CLEAN OUT MY PARENTS HOUSE AND GET A HEAD START ON THAT…IT IS SUCH A MORBID THOUGHT WE ARE PROCRASTINATING. YOU AND I HAVE WORK TO DO OUR DIETS AND OUR CLEANING….GIRL YOU AND I WILL BE BUSY. I PROMISE TO TRY TO MOTIVATE YOU.
Monday is my planning day. I will have to look at my calendar for the month of June to see who will be gone and for how long. I’d love to give it a try too!

Aww, (chuckles)… *looks around MY home*… (groan). 😐
You’re such an inspiration again. I desperately need to do my daughter Charis’ bedroom to transform it into a treatment room seeing she does not live at home anymore …. BUT I have a window of opportunity to get on with writing my book and I was promised some help with the actual website (for a limited time), so I am beevering away before I can even think of diving into Charis’ room …. sigh!!

ewww…cleaning…No fun!!!! Good luck girl!!!! My room always seems a mess b/c after I clean the kitchen, bathrooms, do laundry, make sure the kid are doing their chores, I am simply worn out and my room gets neglected. I have a rocker in here that gets a ton of clean laundry tossed on it… 🙁
