I was listening to the K-Love Christian radio station this morning and I heard the morning hosts discussing S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder).   The definition of this disorder states that it is depression that occurs the same time each year.  Many people with this disorder experience it during the winter months.

The hosts were discussing a new treatment to combat this condition.    Apparently there is a light that doctors place deep inside a patient’s ear.  The ear receives this light and it produces something within the patient’s body to bring about a happier mood.

One of the talk-show hosts said, “I didn’t know EARS could SEE!”

I suddenly started thinking.  Hmmmm.  Ears can see the light?

How do we have faith?

Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith comes by hearing the word of God …

Who is also called the Word in the Bible?

John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.  And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Jesus is the Word!  And His LIGHT shines in the darkness.

Jesus and Light go hand in hand.

Now you see the rabbit path my mind hopped along.  Healing is always associated with the Word of God.  Jesus IS the healer.

The other night at our Christmas tree lot, my friend Tami stopped to purchase a tree.  She had torn the tendons (or did she say ligaments?) in her big toe.  OUCH.  I asked her if I could pray for her and she said I could.    God touched her toe and all pain was removed.   She seemed surprised when the pain left her toe AND her hip at the same time.  Her hip had been hurting from the way she had been favoring her sore foot.

After praying with her a guy came up on crutches.  He had a bad leg break and was always in pain.  I asked him if I could pray for him and he said yes.  He sat in his car with his wife and daughter as we prayed.  It took a few times, but the pain finally left.  He looked shocked.   He looked at his wife with big eyes and said, “The pain is gone!”  He moved his leg around and thanked me.  I said, “Don’t thank me, it was Jesus.”  Isn’t that awesome?  It is so exciting to see the faces of those who have pain suddenly leave their bodies!  To God be ALL of the glory!

I want to see everyone healed on this side of heaven.  That is my heart’s desire.

Have a blessed week everyone!
