Ready for the challenge?  Lets go!

Day 6:  Chair

chair

This is not just a chair, but a HIGH chair — a very special high chair to me!  It belonged to my daddy’s family.  He sat in it as a child (and remember, he was 90 when he died).  Most likely all of his siblings used it, I know I used it as a child when I ate at my grandparent’s house (ALL of the grandchildren used it).  Once it migrated to my parent’s house, all of their grandchildren used it — including my sweet girl.    I know at least one of their great-grandchildren used it too.   When I was a child, my grandmother had about 20 coats of bright green paint on it (ha).  I don’t know how daddy removed all of that paint, but he did.   To me, this is a very special chair.

Day 7:  Garden

gardenveggies

I had just finished gathering eggs and putting them away when I realized I had some veggies in the garden to pick.  That is why they are in my egg basket.  Let me advise that baskets with big holes are not ideal for carrying okra — obviously.

Day 8:  Lunch

lunch

Chick-fil-a~  Enough said.

Day 9:  Big

big

I love my big Camelbak bottle!  It holds 25 ounces.  My husband picked it up the other day and turned it upside down.  He finally said, “How do you use this thing?!?!”  I burst out laughing and said, “Bite and suck — bite and suck.”  Ha ha.

Day 10:  Your Favorite Color

color

Ok, I am cheating a bit.  I can’t pick just ONE favorite color.   I do admit I love jewel tones better than pastels (unless it is a beautiful soft pink rose).  But this is a photo of a hydrangea bloom that I have in my house.   I love the rich blue color!

Day 11: Letter

letter

I’m sure most people will take a picture of a letter from the alphabet, but my mind was on this letter my sister found.  Before I left for Disney back in April, I wrote both of my parents letters explaining how much I loved them.  I told them things from my childhood (good memories) that I would always carry in my heart.  In the event that we weren’t together again on this side of heaven, I wanted them to know how much they meant to me.  My sister found my Mom’s letter when cleaning.
