Have you ever thought much about pearls?  They are lovely, smooth, and considered a great treasure.

Did you know that a pearl begins as a foreign object in the oyster (like a splinter to us) that irritates and brings discomfort?  As a defense mechanism, the oyster covers the irritant to protect itself.  This is how a pearl is created.

Think about that for a moment.  Something irritating (SIN) that is covered (THE BLOOD OF JESUS), becomes something beautiful and priceless!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,

You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body. (Amplified version)
The price that was paid for us IS PRICELESS.  Jesus gave His life for our sin so that we could have hope and have access to Father God.
It takes time for an oyster to create a pearl, just as it takes time for the treasure hunter to locate the rare find at the bottom of the sea.  So don’t be discouraged when you look in the mirror and see the “irritant” or imperfection in your life.  It is that very thing that God can use to create something beautiful!
It takes time for things of great worth to be created.  Think about the pressure it takes against an olive before precious olive oil is released.
What about precious metals like gold and silver?  First the metals must be found (hard work) before the process of fire, water, and shaping begins.
What about a diamond?  Doesn’t it look like a chunk of coal?  Someone must dig to find this treasure.  Once found, the work really begins.
Everything worth finding MUST be sought.
Think about this.  Don’t we have to SEEK for the Lord?  Doesn’t it require effort on our part to have an intimate relationship with our Savior?
Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.

Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me find Me.

Have you ever sought the Lord?

Did you try praying a few times, but never really pressed in and continued the search?

He is a Priceless Treasure worth finding!  You can’t survive without Him.

Are the irritants in your life causing you pain?  Seek the Lord NOW and let the blood of Jesus cover that pain and start the restoration process in your life.

Matthew 7:7-8
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Don’t put this off …
