Today the Internet Cafe is challenging us to share God’s Word with a photo.   I chose a photo I took this week of our pond.

reflection

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

I love chapter 13 of 1 Corinthians.   It begins with, “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but have not love, I am a loud and noisy gong or a clanging banging symbol.”   I have seen this with my own eyes.  God gives gifts to His people freely — not because we have earned them.   I have met people who are very gifted in areas, but they are very immature and selfish where love is concerned and it taints what comes out of their mouths.  Without love being the foundation, the rest is shaky and noisy.

Verses 4 through 7 describes the fruit of love:  Patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, does not dishonor others, not self-seeking, not eagerly angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil, rejoices in truth, protects, trusts, hopes, and always perseveres.

Verse 8 … LOVE NEVER FAILS, but …

Then the scriptures show what will stop when we are in heaven with the Lord.  We won’t need prophesy or tongues nor will we see in part any longer.  When we are with Him we will KNOW FULLY (hallelujah) as we are fully known!  (I am excited about that for my parents who are now with the Lord.)

There is faith, hope, and love — but the greatest of these is LOVE!

Ah, if we only had total understanding of God’s LOVE for us!
