How can we begin to fathom the love of God?

I rarely read the Message version, but I thought this scripture was perfect for the photo:

God’s love for us … that is exactly what we all need to grasp.

I love how the Message version states the deeper God’s love, the higher it goes!

It is deep!

It is high!

It is wide!

Ephesians 3:17b-19
I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

The love that SURPASSES ALL KNOWLEDGE.

When our daughter was born, I felt like I had a greater revelation of God’s love for me.  I understood what it was like to TRULY care about another more than myself.   But could I lay down my life for those who despise me?  Would I?   I have a hard enough time loving (I mean TRULY loving) those who hurt people I care about.   Loving the ones who use and despise us …

I have so much to learn and understand about His love.
