Good Morning World! I took this picture the other day while enjoying the precious little birds on my feeders. Animals find food, care for their young, and enjoy this life they are given. Their lives are simple. They don’t have salvation or damnation. They aren’t made in the image of God yet He knows when a sparrow falls to the ground. HOW MUCH MORE is He involved in the lives of His children? HOW MUCH MORE does He love and adore His people?
God is a God of LOVE, yet JUSTICE. He is a GOD who gives us PEACE – yet is also a God of WAR. He will not be mocked. Little creatures like these birds don’t have the choice to choose poorly. Their little lives are simple, but things in this world have gotten muddy for some humans. People have believed the lies of demons and walk in complete deception. There are NO gray areas in scripture about what is considered SIN. God’s Word is very clear about what we should and shouldn’t do. I’m not talking about the law. We are under grace, but we also have God’s Word as our compass. If anyone “feels” like something is right for them, but it doesn’t align with truth, then it isn’t TRUTH. Period. There is no gray area. Our feelings lie to us. Our own self-beliefs can lie to us if we don’t know God’s voice. Even if we DO hear our Father’s Voice, we have the CHOICE to choose life or death. We must know His Word and align our THOUGHTS and lives with it.
It always begins in our thought life doesn’t it? I know in my own life the devil spoke to me in first person. My thoughts would be, “I want ..” or “I am going to ….” versus “You want ” or “You are going to …” You have to know that the enemy is sneaky (he has been at this several thousand years at least) and knows how to hook people. If your thoughts had a voice that didn’t sound like your own — of course you would recognize it. What do you spend your time thinking about? Where is your focus? What are you feeding your mind?
Every person I know has bought into a lie in his lifetime. Maybe he believed he was REJECTED. Maybe he believed the FEAR in his life was just the way he was born. Maybe the ANGER is just a part of his personality. Maybe people who deal with unholy attractions think that is just they way they were made. Lies and deception are just that. Lies. Deception. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy! Period. Deception can “feel” perfectly normal. That is why we can’t trust our feelings. We SHOULD NOT be led by them.
Definition of deceived:
(of a person) cause (someone) to believe something that is not true, typically in order to gain some personal advantage.
We humans have a body (flesh), our soul (our mind, will, and emotions), and our spirit. Our SPIRIT should lead us, not our emotions and certainly not the desires of our flesh. Have you ever read scriptures about the desires of the flesh and how they are contrary to the Spirit? If not, look HERE and HERE. If we participating in any of the fruit of the flesh listed in those scriptures we need to STOP it. We DO have authority over our flesh. As a Christian, we DO have self-control. The ball is in our court to actually USE what we have been given.
I know great people who have cried out on behalf of their kids and have yet to see breakthrough. DON’T GIVE UP. Continue to pray for your loved ones. I also know people who have decided to just go with the flow so there is peace. True love is NOT agreeing with deception. Don’t celebrate the deception of someone you love.
I know people who love Jesus yet they struggle with sin. There can be bondages in our lives folks. We are human and we are born in a sinful nature. We all have the choice to follow our fleshly desires, right? I have certainly chosen the desires of my flesh versus the desires of God’s Spirit within me in my lifetime. I am the least of those to point a finger — so please don’t think that is what I am doing. I just want to shine a light to say — there is NO GRAY area. If I choose to sin — that is what it is — my CHOICE. I cannot make what isn’t holy something that is “good” or acceptable. It will never stand in the courts of heaven no matter how many banners I carry. No matter how many times I stomp my foot, shake my fist, rally people around me — truth is truth and God is God. His Word will never fail. His Word will stand through eternity.
Galatians 6:7-9
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
I had NO plan of writing this today. I know it won’t be a popular post, but I’m not trying to make friends or gain influence. I just love Jesus, love people, and REALLY want to see people walk in the freedom that is available to us. THERE IS HOPE! THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU IF YOU ARE IN BONDAGE TO SIN. Jesus already provided everything we need to walk in absolute freedom. I challenge you to seek Him daily. Spend time listening for His voice and His direction in your life. Cry out to Him — not from a place of victim, but as a child who needs a Father.
Philippians 4:8-9
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
There is always HOPE in Jesus.
