I am listening to worship music on Spotify and I stumbled across this song: Living for Another Age by Justin Rizzo and the lyrics really describe my heart! It helped me decide the scripture I would share today.
Psalm 42:1
As a deer longs for flowing streams,
so my soul longs for You, O God.
He is the One that I want! The world pales in comparison with Him! As believers in Christ, this world is not our home! We are only pilgrims passing through. We are living for that other place, where our citizenship belongs: Heaven! That is where we will spend all of eternity with our Beloved.
You O God are my portion forever!
I yearn to be in His presence!
I desire MORE of Him!
I long for Him!
He is the One that I want!
And guess what? God delights in us! He delights in me! He desires our attention and our worship! He is jealous for us.
Yes, my soul longs for You, O God!
