My sweet friend Angie at Free Spirit Haven just gave me the Honest Scrap Award. (Thank you Angie!)
Being the recipient of this award means that I have to share 10 juicy honest things that you don’t already know about me. Oh dear — these aren’t too juicy because this is going out on the Internet folks. lol
- I played the clarinet from middle school through high school — including the marching band.
- I sing alto and sang in the music ministry for many many years.
- I married at the age of 22 … adopted our daughter at the age of 38!
- I spent a couple of years in the 9th grade because I was more interested in skipping school and hanging out with my buddies on the Haw River.
- I graduated from high school in 1986 … decided to go to college in 1993 and graduated in 1997! I graduated with honors (thanks be to GOD)!
- My first name was DELLA — named after my grandmother. But I dropped it when I married since I never used it. I’M NOT GIVING YOU PERMISSION TO CALL ME THAT EITHER. lol
- I live in a house that was built by my husband’s great-grandfather in 1901! Trust me … old, old, old … slanted floors, crooked doors, but it is home.
- I have had prophetic dreams since I was in high school. I have seen many of them come to pass.
- I grew up being very shy and unsure about myself. Through Christ, I am a NEW CREATION and am very social (as if you couldn’t tell).
- We own a donkey named Festus. He lives at my MIL’s house now because he tried to bite a new born calf.

Oh, I LOVED learning so much about you girl. I think it was very juicy. Refreshed me, pointed me to Jesus Christ and praising Him for His good works that He has done and CONTINUES to do in your life. You shine for Jesus sweetie…
