I need to find a catchy little name for my blog.
I AM HEADING TOWARDS MY DESTINY is just too long.
It is all Carolina Mama’s fault (lol). Her blog name is so marketable and so easy to have embroidered on a tote, T-shirt, etc … (I saw her pictures from the BlogHer conference.)
While I was on the phone with her I tried again and was able to get my niece Jennifer online. It was SOOOO cool chatting with her and seeing my great niece and nephew in real time. Yay! Unfortunately, after hanging up I was getting x-rated messages from some strangers.
The first person’s name was Cam. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t someone I knew because my cousin’s daughter’s name is Cami. He said he was from Europe.
Here is how our conversation went (via “chat” — not phone/camera):
Cam: hi
Me: hello — who are you?
Cam: I’m Cam, in Europe
Me: I’m married — happily. Be blessed.
Cam: You sure are _____. (Gave me a “compliment” ahem.) I’m 38. I’m married too.
Me: Great, go be with your wife.
Cam: I’m available right now because my wife is asleep.
Cam: I can’t _______ because she is sick.
MEANWHILE I’M TRYING MY BEST TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO BLOCK THIS GUY!Finally …
Me: Listen, I am a tongue talking, demon casting out believer! You don’t want to go there with me!
Cam: uhhh, yeah.
THEN I figured out how to block him. LOL
I’ve talked to several people and they never got harassed by spam/x-rated folks. Why me?
Anyway — I have figured out how to BLOCK, but I don’t know how to make my name “private” so that only family/friends can see it. If you have a clue, would you please enlighten me?
So … hopping around here — back to my blog name. Any suggestions!?!??! Can you think of a blog name that fits my personality and shows my heart? What about my silly side? I just don’t know!

Ok– I just came back to add this. I downloaded Skype onto my PC (originally I used my Mac) and the PC offered privacy settings. The Mac didn’t. Perhaps I had a download issue — I don’t know. Anyway — no more creepy crawlies for me!
I'm pretty new here, but I'll throw in a suggestions because I dig this sort of thing…how about Preparing for the Predestined…if you're anything like me, that's a serious work in progress! =P

As for skype, I had it but then deleted it when I found out my son liked to chat with his "girlfriends" on it. Nothing inappropriate, but I still pulled the plug.

How about "Destiny's Child"! LOL! I think it's cute…and the band no longer exist! Or "NC Destiny's Child"…or Carolina's Destiny's Child!
Oh, dear…how distressing for that to happen with that guy! I don't know a thing about Skype, and I'm not very creative with names for blogs. I'm not any help at all…sorry!

I was going to suggest "Towards My Destiny", but I really like Destiny Bound as suggested by Toia.

Not sure about the name. I am so bad with names.
I have not had much luck with Skype…now I might be glad…I see so many blogs with perfect names…and I indentify my friends by their blog names and they always fit…

As for the name, LEAVE IT ALONE!! I love the name of you blog and always have. Its something that I always remembered after I met you here the first time. I wouldnt change a thing.
As for the skype thing, Carey and I cancelled Facebook for the very same reason. Well there were others too, but I stopped Tweeting for the very same reason. I would rather not do it then spend all my time blocking peoiple that want to show me their hiney amongst other things.
Anyway, I came I saw, so you cant say I didnt anymore. I am really sorry Ive been so abscent here during my bloggy break, but other things have just been allot more important. I will visit more often I promise.

I see someone already suggested Towards My Destiny (great minds think alike.) It (with the subtitle) would shorten the title and keep it familiar to your fans 🙂
