It is hard to believe that 20 years ago today my husband and I were married. Where have the years gone?

I just remembered that on the morning of our wedding, I decided I should try on my wedding gown again (just in case I had gained weight since my fitting). Ha. Well, wouldn’t you know I did it while everyone was at the church getting things set up? And wouldn’t you know it was before cell phones? AND wouldn’t you know that I got stuck in my dress? The zipper was stuck! I had to call a neighbor that I barely knew to come get me out of my dress. Yep, sure did.

If I had time to hook up the scanner, I would post some wedding shots. That will have to wait for another day. Sorry.

We started out as kids — 22 & 23. I thought it would be me and my Prince Charming against the world, but it didn’t start out that way. But isn’t it funny how God has a way of bringing things full circle? Now after 20 years of marriage we are a unified force to be reckoned with. Ha.

I am grateful that God has allowed me to have 20 years (22 if you count dating) with my husband.

Last night, we went out with some sweet friends to one of our favorite steak houses: The Angus Barn! Yum!!! Oh, I blew the calories out of the water, but everything was SO delicious!

The restaurant was already decorated for Christmas. The decorations were lovely and my puny camera didn’t do them justice. They did “kind of” get me in the mood to decorate a little.

Here we are with our complimentary anniversary pound cake. Oh, it was so good!

Another shot of the anniversary couple. :o)

These are our sweet friends Jennifer and Dax. Jennifer’s best friend Andre was visiting from San Diego and joined the fun. He was really sweet.

Here is a futile attempt at showing the beauty of the decorations, but what stands out is some poor random guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Ha.

I pray the next 20, 30, 40 years will be even better than the blessings we have already experienced.

I love you Boaz and am so grateful for you and our Princess.
