Yesterday I was headed over to my parent’s house to drop off their groceries when a little old woman pulled out in front of me.

I slammed on brakes, throwing a big heavy watermelon right on top of my parent’s eggs! I missed the woman by a fairly decent distance, but the vehicle coming towards us missed her by inches.

I was on the phone with my buddy Angie (Laughter Does the Heart Good) when my daughter suddenly STOOD UP and said, “Mommy, I forgot to buckle my seat belt! I’m sorry!” Scream! She never leaves her buckle undone! Instead of discussing this with me while I’m going 50 mph down the road, “Sit down and buckle your seat belt” I barked.

Psalm 91:11

For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways …

Coming back from my parent’s house — on the SAME ROAD — I saw this guy on a bicycle coming out of the American Tobacco Trail (a pedestrian path). He stopped his bike and I continued down the hill (45 to 50 mph) and when I approached him, he pulled out in front of me! On a bicycle …

Tell me this. WHO CAN MISS MY BIG RED SUBURBAN? It isn’t difficult to see folks!

Thankfully my husband put new brakes on my truck a few weeks ago!

I slammed on brakes YET AGAIN. My anti-lock brakes were jerking us around and my pedal was down as far as I could push it.

I stopped within INCHES of this man! I’m not exaggerating. He must have felt the heat coming from my motor.

He didn’t have on a helmet either! This could have been a horrible scene!

He was in front of my truck and began to ride off to the other side of the path while saying something ugly to me. He didn’t say, “I’m sorry” though he could see my child’s balloon floating in my windshield. Instead somehow he was blaming me.

To err is human; to blame it on somebody else is even more human. John Nadeau

I was in shock! Seriously, these two incidents happened within 30 minutes of each other. I let down my passenger window to inform this man that HE SHOULD HAVE STOPPED! Then the tears began to flow as I praised God for protecting us YET AGAIN!

Hebrews 1:14

Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

I was thankful that I had prayed protection over me and my family that morning. I also loosed angels to protect us.

THANK YOU FATHER!

Please remember to pray protection over your family each day.

Isaiah 54:17
No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from Me,” declares the LORD.
