Tonight Pastor Brian Diver read Mark 5 and 6. He told us from the beginning he was going to read out of the New Living Translation which pointed something out that my NIV wouldn’t have.

As Pastor Brian read about Jesus feeding the 5000(+) this STOOD out to me!

Mark 6:41-44
Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, He kept giving the bread to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. He also divided the fish for everyone to share. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftover bread and fish. A total of 5,000 men and their families were fed from those loaves!

I know that the statement “as much as they wanted” referred to the food that filled their stomachs, but I felt like the Holy Spirit began to speak to my heart: We can have as MUCH as WE WANT of the Lord.

Isn’t that the truth?

Matthew 7:7-8
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

The Lord leaves a lot of the pursuing up to us. He wants us to ask, seek, and knock.

So many people accept Jesus as their Savior and barely move a step forward. I know Christians who were saved and baptized in water, but have yet to pick up the Bible. They don’t know how to pray or hear from the Lord. They don’t desire a further surrender to the Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

1 Chronicles 16:11 Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.

Isaiah 55:6 Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.

Are you satisfied with going through the motions? Church on Sunday, bless your food, pray at night before bed … then what? Are you willing to be out of your comfort zone? Are you willing to totally surrender every area of your life to the Lord? What if that means you feel a bit out of control? What if it isn’t the way you were raised? What excuses do you use?

Hallelujah, WE CAN HAVE AS MUCH OF THE LORD AS WE WANT!
Isaiah 6:1-3
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above Him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”

The God of the universe desires a relationship with YOU. He is jealous for YOU and wants to capture your heart.

Do you want HIM? How much of Him do you want?

Revelation 3:15-16
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Be in HOT pursuit of your Creator! How much of Him do YOU want?
