Our church has a FIESTA on October 31st so the children can have a safe place to play games and receive candy. We had such a great time. This year my daughter invited her friend Makayla. They had SUCH a great time together. Princess did a better job than Mommy on the games.

Linda Graham (who is all of 5’3″) challenged me to a balloon race. The objective was to run to a turning point with a big balloon between your knees, then drop the balloon down into a bowl without touching it. Well, at first I was ahead of her (only makes sense since my legs are longer), but like a little road runner, that Linda caught me. I approached the bowl first, but my balloon wouldn’t drop into the bowl (static). Linda beat me, but we had such a good laugh. The race was truly a non-scale victory! I definitely would have been embarrassed to have attempted such a thing 50 pounds ago. (Thank You Lord!)

My husband and I definitely felt more comfortable than we did last year. We knew SOME of the faces, but there were still so many people I had never seen before!

Anyway, we had a great time (and some day I will figure out how to adjust the settings on my new camera — sorry for the blur, etc.)!

Even though Linda beat me with a height technicality (ha), I love her. She is so sweet. Look at that smile.
