I just spoke with my buddy Angie (I know, I think I mention her in every couple of posts) on the phone. I asked her how it went today (since I missed church). After the service today, she and others had to pray over some of the people baptized.
She and I went to the prophetic conference together, remember? She has actually walked in what we’ve learned the past couple of Sundays. Me on the other hand have not stepped forward. Last Sunday I had to take Princess to a birthday party right after church. This Sunday, we missed church all together due to her feeling bad.
Ok, I know I am rambling, but I’m getting to the point. God always knows our hearts. This morning when I started writing in my journal and spending time with the Lord, He led me to read this scripture:
Romans 8:15
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
I knew exactly what He was saying to me.
Even though I went to the conference and had confirmation that I was hearing from the Lord — it is still a situation where I have to step out in blind faith.
There is no faking it — no way to “cheat” or pretend. I will either hear from the Lord when prophesying over someone or not. Yikes!
I WILL walk out in faith and trust the Lord!
Are any of you allowing fear to sneak into situations unaware? If fear is holding you back from anything … read Romans 8:15 again.
It makes me angry when I focus on fear and not on faith. Argh.
I don’t want to grieve my Lord!
Fear has had too much control in the past. My future will NOT be manipulated by that demon.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Awesome reminder.
I don't think that faith is always an absence of fear…I've been stepping out in faith (even though inside I was afraid). I think it's pushing past the feelings of fear instead of giving into them. The more we ignore that demon spirit & keep on pressing on with God, the less control it will have in our lives!
Amen to walking by faith and not by sight!! Praise God!!! I'm gonna check out that cell phone link, yikes!
