Did my title grab ya? Good! Thanks for visiting me today!
Our Princess will start Kindergarten this fall. The school we plan to send our daughter prefers students with late summer birthdays to mature another year before starting. Therefore, while all of my Mommy friends online where shedding tears over their 5 year old babies starting school, I still had a year of transition class (whew!).
Last week our daughter passed a screening visit where she met with the principal of her “hopefully” new school. Here is a picture of her visit.
She did a great job! We are so proud of her and the principal said she is a very smart little girl!
This week our baby girl had an eye doctor visit. All is well, she just needs to wear an eye patch 2 hours a day on her strongest eye so that her other eye will gain strength.
After her visit we attended the FARM show with Daddy. Not my cup of tea, but it made my husband happy.
She was very happy to remove the patch after two hours!
We received news that our daughter has been accepted at her school and can attend Kindergarten this fall! Hallelujah! One of our friends passed down some of her daughter’s uniforms, so we won’t have as many to purchase (Thank You Jenn!). You can tell our little “ham” is very excited. Here she is trying on some of the uniforms. Uh, you will notice I blotted out the school’s name in two of the photos.
Last, but not least, I finally caught a picture of Daddy smiling while watching our daughter. If he knows I have a camera, he tends to look away, but this was a great shot. (By the way — all of these pictures were taken with my iPhone if you’re wondering why they might appear fuzzy.)
Have a super blessed weekend everyone!
(And please remember to pray for Egypt.)
Congrats to your beautiful princess.
Oh how exciting. My son is also patching his eye (when we can get him to do it). She looked so excited trying on her uniforms.
How nice of your friend to give your daughter some uniforms and you are smart to blur the school name. Yes, I am praying for good results in Egypt and especially for protection for the Christians in Egypt and in all countries where there is turmoil
What a beauty you have. So excited for you and her.
Way to go, Princess! How exciting to be preparing for kindergarten. It brings back some great memories of my boys when they first started school.
The pics of your sweet girl modeling her uniforms are adorable. She looks so happy that she's going to be starting school!
Love the pic of your dad. It's easy to see how he dotes on his granddaughter!
How sweet that the kids wear uniforms to kindergarten. You'll know what she needs to wear on a daily basis. I love it!!! And hand-me-downs on items like that are sweeter!!! I love the fact that your daughter had the biggest smile on her face. Reminds me of when we got new clothes for Easter!! 😉
She looks too small to start kindergarten. That's wonderful your friend handed down those uniforms. I can imagine they can be a little expensive.
That is a precious pic of your daddy smiling at her.
So glad she was accepted into the school you were hoping for!! And I love the fact they wear school uniforms….I wish that was standard for all schools, to be honest!
Love the pic of your dad smiling….

Going away to Kindergarten…sniff, sniff! She looks so adorable in her little uniforms! Abby had to do the eye patch thing for awhile when she was about 4. The picture of your daddy watching your daughter just warms my heart.
