What better thing to do on a cold, cloudy afternoon than attend the NC State Fair? Woo hoo! It was the perfect day! They opened at 3pm and we didn’t have the normal crowd to battle. I loved it.

First, what country girl can walk by a redneck truck and not take a picture?

Nothing like holding a baby chick.

Posing with the chickens and praying they wouldn’t peck me in the head.

Sheesh, at the fair a person will pose with anything!

What about some big ol’ pumpkins?

We saw a bunch of apples too.

What a cutie.

Mommy had to ride the Strawberry with her Princess.

Mommy also had to go four-wheelin’ with the Princess.

Daddy buckling Princess on the speed boat.

Is that biscuit good Boaz?

Ohhhh, what a big bite you took there Boaz!

Princess is embarrassed to be seen with such silly parents and decided to escape on the speed boat!

She gave up once she realized she could only go in circles and decided to take a picture with Daddy.

Woo wee, I am so glad I didn’t have to ride the merry-go-round! See the video at the bottom (ha).

This was the cutest thing! A bus named “Buster” that carried on a conversation with our daughter. She was in love.

Last, but not least — the crazy “merry”-go-round! I’m telling you, it is a miracle this thing didn’t sling the kids off! I was grateful I didn’t have to ride it because I would have been as dizzy as a spinning top! Check this out. Ha.

I hope you enjoyed our afternoon at the fair!
