Yesterday I was a good girl!

I stayed away from all white flour, ice cream, and my daughter’s left overs. (Honestly I have no idea how many calories I eat just by finishing her chicken nuggets — a nibble here and there …) Seriously, with our temperatures being around 100 degrees each day, the McDonald oreo McFlurries have been calling my name. So have the Chick-fil-a cookies and cream milkshakes. But not yesterday!

I have been here before. I know if I can get that stuff out of my system I won’t crave it. Really, it is a vicious circle. If you eat sugar you crave sugar.
To top things off, I finally did the FIRST workout of the Couch-to-5K Running Plan. Yay for me!

I have always wanted to be a runner and this is my first step (pardon the pun)!

Back in February when I was really on track and doing well (ahem) I had started jogging here and there. I noticed that I didn’t seem to have any stamina when I ran so I am trusting this will take care of that!

For those who don’t know about Couch-to-5K — feel free to check it out HERE. The first workout didn’t seem overwhelming to me. Anyone can jog for 60 seconds at a time, right? It definitely made 20 minutes fly by!

I’ll keep you posted on how I’m doing.

You may have noticed that I removed my Dailymile.com widget. I am posting my workouts on Facebook now because all of my cute little widgets just slowed down your ability to pull up my blog. :o)

I’ll try to keep you posted on my success.

So, one day back on track … Thank You Lord! I’ll take it one day at a time.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Ah, SELF-CONTROL. I have NOT been using that lately.

I’ve allowed myself to eat whatever I pleased and I feel just icky about it.

My clothes are tighter and I don’t like it.

Back to healthy living for me.

Anyone want to do the Couch-to-5K plan with me?
