Yesterday when I posted about part of my deliverance and healing over the years, I really had a fresh revelation of exactly what God did for me.  The bondage with fear has been gone for so long now that it seems like a story that I tell — distant from the pain associated with the story.  However, yesterday I seemed to remember the pain (yet without the sting) and it truly gave me a fresh revelation of just what God has done for me!
I have often said that you can’t appreciate FREEDOM unless you have been a SLAVE.  I know what it is like to be a slave to fear.
Do you remember when I said that God had given me Isaiah 52 when it was time to set me free?  Here is the part that REALLY spoke to me:
Isaiah 52:2-3

Shake yourself from the dust; arise, sit [erect in a dignified place], O Jerusalem; loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion.   For thus says the Lord: You were sold for nothing, and you shall be redeemed without money.

Isaiah 52:5
But now what have I here, says the Lord, seeing that My people have been taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them howl [with joy], says the Lord, and My name continually is blasphemed all day long.  (Amp)

The Lord was telling me to LOOSE MYSELF from the bondage!  And when I read that the demons were howling with joy over my bondage, that was the LAST STRAW!

Needless to say, I started yesterday with a GRATEFUL heart!  I didn’t deserve freedom, but God set me free!  I didn’t deserve healing (and I have had other healings since the one I shared), but God healed me.  His grace amazes me.

I think yesterday morning prepared my heart for last night.

Near the end of intercessory prayer we prayed for the college students who will be coming to our church for a conference.  I began to weep for those students who are bound.  There are some who run to alcohol and drugs.  Others cut themselves to feel relief.  My memories of the hopeless feelings that I had … the depression … the despair were still close to my heart.  I was more aware of what some of those students might be experiencing.

Jesus is the answer for us all!

It is so frustrating when we know the answer and know where freedom awaits those who are in bondage, but we can’t make people listen.  Only God can remove the veil and soften hearts.

Isaiah 55:6-7

Seek the LORD while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways
   and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for He will freely pardon.

I am praying for those who are hurting — those who are running to the things of this world to numb their pain (which is a lie because the numbness wears off compounding their pain).  I pray that they would come to the end of themselves and finally run to God.

“Seek the Lord while He may be found” says to me that there is a time when we WON’T be able to seek Him and call on Him.

Please take a moment to pray for the college-aged generation.

I don’t care how many times I’ve seen this skit, the anointing remains!   Watch this powerful witness …

Jesus is here for YOU!
