We had an unexpected trip to the mountains and we were on a tight schedule.

As we approached Pilot mountain we saw an unmarked trooper zoom off of a ramp and pull up beside of our trailer.

Then he got behind us.

He followed us for about 2 miles.

Isn’t that the most uneasy feeling?  Even though you know you haven’t done anything wrong?

Just as we approached the overlook, he turned on his blue lights.

For those who read my posts on a regular basis, you know that we have had some strange things happen on our treks to the hills.  For instance, several trips in a row we have blown TIRES on trailers.  We have had a clutch to pop.   Air conditioning on one side of the truck turned to heat while the other was cold.  That kind of stuff …  In it all, God has always protected us and for that we are grateful.

We pulled off on the overlook and our daughter immediately awakened from her truck-vibrating slumber and said, “I’ve got to go to the bathroom!”  Uh … thanks a lot officer!

The trooper came to our window and my husband handed him his license and told him what our daughter just said.  Thankfully the trooper let us pull to the next exit to a convenient store.

Guess what the trooper wanted with us.   He picked us out of ALL of the other vehicles to train another trooper on federal sticker inspections.  Argh!  We were there over OVER an hour.  I’m not kidding.

They checked EVERYTHING!

Might as well enjoy the beauty …. right?

Over an hour had passed before we were released.  Thankfully my husband had everything in good order.  And I figured — well, I might as well take pictures with my phone since I have nothing else to do.

Have a great weekend everyone!

It is Friday, so I’m linking with Java at Never Growing Old for her blog hop.
