Do you remember when a group of us read through “The Power of a Praying Wife” by Stormie Omartian in the month of June?

Amy at Dandelion Seeds led us as we read and prayed a chapter a day. It was awesome and I saw breakthrough in areas that I had prayed about for YEARS. I’m not exaggerating here friends.

Well, this post isn’t about being a wife, but being a parent. Personally, I think if you are WANTING to be a parent, you could pray through this book as well. I spent years praying for our daughter before she was born. It was during those years that God gave me our daughter’s name. Trust me, I will be praying through this book for our future child too — not just our daughter.

If you are on facebook, find the group SHMILY (See how much I love you) and keep up with us.

You will see me share on my blog as I pray through this book. This starts in September. Will you join us?

Psalm 103:17 But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children-

Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.

Proverbs 14:26 He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge.

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Ok, on a totally different note: Blog housekeeping! My sweet designer Tara is going to help me create a more SLEEK design for my blog. I love the design now and the colors are so cheerful. I will miss it — I know I will, but I want my blog to load quickly for my friends. So, don’t be surprised if you visit me in the next week or two and see a strange place (well, you see strange things here — lol, but you know what I mean). Please pray Tara will be inspired by the Lord as she works on my little piece of the blogosphere.
