Do you remember when a group of us read through “The Power of a Praying Wife” by Stormie Omartian in the month of June?
Amy at Dandelion Seeds led us as we read and prayed a chapter a day. It was awesome and I saw breakthrough in areas that I had prayed about for YEARS. I’m not exaggerating here friends.
Well, this post isn’t about being a wife, but being a parent. Personally, I think if you are WANTING to be a parent, you could pray through this book as well. I spent years praying for our daughter before she was born. It was during those years that God gave me our daughter’s name. Trust me, I will be praying through this book for our future child too — not just our daughter.

Hi Beth, I read the power of a praying wife nearly 11 yrs ago from front to back in one day and it changed my marriage forever… So yes I want to be a part of the power of the praying parent for sure I have one starting middle school in just 12 days and I will be covering her in lots of prayer everyday. Beth if you are ever in my area which is near the agency I would love to meet you. Just thru your blog I feel I know you and I can tell your heart is full of JESUS!!

I've had this book for QUITE a while – and used to read the "appropriate day" for it AND praying wife every day. It has been a LONG time since I did it – so I think maybe I need to join ya 😀

And I understand the loading problems. I need to change mine too. And I just redid mine. But loading fast is more important. I know you'll pick something beautiful like you.
God must be telling us to really get serious and have our knees bruised as I visit others and the topic is about praying and just like yours. I also had that strong urge that day to create that "awesome prayer warrior" gift for you guys because I felt it that we must keep on doing so.
I love Stormie Omartian books and she is another example of how God can use one mightily if they are willing to offer themselves to do God's work.

Beth, thanks for visiting my blog. I've been following your blog for a couple of weeks but I didn't know you had adopted your sweet girl. How awesome! God is amazing isn't He?! I love the Power of Praying books and have all of them but the newest one. I've used these prayers for years and years with my oldest boys. I would love to join in with your study in September. I am on Facebook but only go one once a week if I'm lucky. Do you think you can post it on the blog as well?
