I’m taking a huge step for me folks!
I’m going to do it.
My Mac is shaking at the thought of it …
Do you remember MONTHS ago (if not a year) I asked all of your opinions concerning the name of my blog? I was at a NC blogger event and I was so embarrassed when someone asked me the name of my blog. It is a sentence (ha). Well I thought I’d make it shorter.
In a sense it will be a little shorter as far as the blog name, but … well you’ll see.
Not only am I changing my name, but (ok, are you sitting?) … I am going to have my own domain and a new look. Not just a new layout, but (deep breath in … exhaleeeeee) I’m going to have a WordPress format (shhhhh, I don’t want blogger to hear that).
I pray I know what I’m doing. I don’t have a CLUE how to use WordPress! Y’all pray me through!
The new blog name isn’t 100% decided on YET, but I feel like I need to keep My Destiny since that is the “meat” of my blog title here. I’m thinking, “My Destiny” then the tag line “Sharing the hope of Christ” since that is what I do. What do you think?
So, one of these days in the near future you are going to come visit me and think you’re at the wrong place. DON’T LEAVE. It will be ME.
Oh my! I’m so uneasy about leaving this little comfort zone.
I know some of you have made the jump over to WordPress. What did you think? Any hiccups I should know about. And what was your learning curve?

Don't tell blogger, but I'm also getting ready to make the switch to WordPress). 🙂 Getting a new look and going to a self-hosted WordPress site. Name will be the same.

You go, Beth! I think I'll stay where I am for the time being. I'm on my 3rd name and 2nd blog (not necessarily by choice) and I'm too tired/busy to mess with any more changes right now. I know yours will be great though and excited to see it. I've heard good and bad about WP.
I like "My Destiny" as a title. I, too, am curious about the change to wordpress. I did set up a "website" type thingy for someone, and it did seem to have more of a look of a website than what we can get here on Blogger. I just didn't like the look of the templates available, and I really had trouble adding sidebar stuff, links, and music. I know music is a hot issue — to have or or not to. Would love to hear some of your pros and cons on your choice.

I am happy with blogger, and most blogs I follow are here. It is a bit harder to post comments on wordpress, but I will follow you over there.
This sounds so right. I think a lot of us are disgusted with blogger. It's hard to leave comments on blogs. Your title and subtitle is right on, Beth.

Woo Hoo! I am so excited for you. I moved a while back and haven't looked back. Are you doing the move yourself or paying to have it done? I wouldn't have known what to do had I relied on my own self. You will love it. And once you are there, you MUST install the Disqus commenting system. It's fabulous!
