Last night Princess had an award ceremony for her American Heritage Girl Troop.  She finished her requirements as a Pathfinder and will be a Tenderheart this fall.  She is very excited.  Look at our sweet girl.

We came home, ate a late 8:30 supper and finally got our child in her gown around 9pm.  As she was changing clothes our front doorbell rang.  (We always know it is a stranger if they come to our front door.)

If you have followed my blog long enough, you know we get some crazy visitors here.  We have had many Hindu people stop and ask us some STRANGE requests concerning our cows.   A couple of years ago we had a local woman leave her home at 2am to trek on foot to our home because the “spirit” told her that Billy Graham was having a crusade here.  (Oh really?)  The list goes on and on.

This time, at 9pm, in the dark — a couple came to our door to see if we sold our goats because they wanted to EAT one!  Come on, at 9pm?  Really?  Did they have a craving or something?

Who could hurt our little goats?  They are our pets.

Yeah goats, you better hide on this wagon.  There are neighbors around here drooling over you!   Mercy!  Really — who stops at someone’s house at 9pm to ask if they could eat one of their pets?  Ha.

It only happens here!

On another note … if you have an iPod, I found an inexpensive treat.   I think iPods are great if you don’t want to drain the battery on your iPhone by listening to music by the pool, etc …  I found this little speaker at Harris Teeter (grocery store) in the battery section:

iPodspeaker

This little speaker really puts out and only cost around $10.   It runs off of 3 AAA batteries and plugs easily into your iPod or MP3 player.  Sometimes you don’t want to wear headphones while you’re mobile, so this is great.

Ok, I better go count our goats to make sure nobody ate one over night.  Ha.

Have a blessed Tuesday everyone!
