This post is totally random.

For starters, when we returned home yesterday we discovered that a couple of families decided to go through our corn maze (even though we were CLOSED).  We don’t even open until this Saturday.   The funny thing is, we have these people on video and could post their faces on a MOST WANTED poster!

They had to walk by our ticket house  (with closed curtains) with the prices posted.  Then they walked by piles of decorations sitting around because we weren’t ready for the public yet.  Sigh … none of the bouncies were inflated.  You get the picture — WE WERE CLOSED.  Their little adventure cheated us around $80.

Here is a picture of my husband trekking through the corn the other evening.

On another note, I was SO EXCITED to discover two little blue eggs in the nest yesterday!  I thought my Ameraucana’s were laying light brown eggs, but those must have belonged to my Silver-laced Wyondottes.  I am SO EXCITED!  Blue!!!

Ignore the wooden egg.  I finally removed it after this photo was taken (since the young hens know where to lay now).

On another totally random note, my daughter is supposed to be collecting “box tops” for her school.   Ok, since I am new at having a school-aged child, I didn’t even know these things existed.  Who knows how many of these I have thrown away over the years.  So if you are local and reading this — if you have any on your cereal boxes in your pantry, please hand them over to me (ha).

Oh, and for the record — they are NOT box tops.  Why do they call them that?  They are little tiny square coupons.

Now my boxes look like this!  I had to cut them out didn’t I?  I wonder if my husband will even notice.

Have an absolutely wonderful Monday!
