healing

Yesterday I was taking notes from a YouTube video on healing by Curry Blake.  He was confirming how I have felt over the past few years.

Once we pray for someone and see God immediately bring healing, it makes it so much easier for us to have 100% faith that He will do it again.   The first time we pray we might think, “Okay Father.  Please use me …”  But after we experience the healing and find someone who has a migraine, or needs for his leg to grow — we are quick to say, “Let me pray and watch what God is going to do!”

What about praying for someone with an incurable (according to the world) disease?  How is our faith at that moment?

What is a disease versus a migraine to God?  Jesus already bore the stripes on His back for all sickness and disease.

Curry Blake shared something he calls the David Principle.

1 Samuel 17:37
Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”

David reminded himself of the past victories in his life!  The Lord delivered him from the lion.   The Lord delivered him from the bear!  Why wouldn’t He deliver David from the Philistine too?

The same principle applies to healing:   If God was faithful when you laid hands on someone with a migraine, then why wouldn’t He be faithful when you lay hands on someone with HIV?  Is it too big for God?   NO.  If anything, it is our faith that is trembling.

It really has given me something to chew on and I’m letting it sink deep into my heart.
