Today I’m linking with the Internet Cafe to share God’s Word with a photo.

Grapevine

John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.

This is a picture of one of our grapevines.  Scuppernong grapes as a matter of fact (yum).   Each year my husband cuts off all of the old branches that produced fruit the year before.   Once the branches are severed from the vine, they die.  At first they are still pliable — allowing me to make grapevine wreaths, but then they become hard and fragile.

At first, if we are disconnected from the Vine, it may appear that we are doing just fine.  Our hearts might still be pliable, but the hardening will come.  The walls will go up and we will stop producing any good fruit.  God’s word is true — we can do NOTHING of real worth without being connect to God.

I want to produce fruit that brings Him glory!  Oh how I desire to point others to Him.  He alone is worthy of our praise!
