Matthew 25:1-13

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”

Before I created that little scribbled picture up above, I watched Sid Roth’s interview with Misty Edwards.  She said she had been given a dream where she was in a car but the engine light and oil light were flashing.  She knew God was telling her that she needed OIL.

Holy Oil

How do you acquire this oil?

I am assuming it must come through INTIMACY with the Lord.

I can’t give you what I have gained myself through intimacy.  I can share some revelation and I can point you in the right direction, but I can’t give you an intimate relationship with the Lord.

Even as much as I love God and HUNGER for more in my life I find myself so distracted with responsibilities.

I don’t want to be found with no oil and I don’t want Jesus to find me as lukewarm.

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me.

It isn’t too late to meet with the Lord.   He desires your heart and your time.

Song of Solomon 2:8
The voice of my beloved!
Behold, He comes
Leaping upon the mountains,
Skipping upon the hills.

Fall in love with the Lover of your soul!
