Yesterday during worship my eyes were drawn to a lady sitting near me. She was beautiful and seemed very gentle. I saw a picture of her in my mind and this is what I saw. She was sitting in a dark room under a long light — as if she was under interrogation. I understood at that point that SHE was condemning and judging herself. After that understanding, I saw Jesus enter the picture. His LIGHT and TRUTH broke the lies of the enemy. The judgments were NOT coming from the Lord.
You see, the enemy is the one who condemns us.
Romans 8:1-2
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Do you have condemning thoughts about yourself? Did you know that satan and his demons whisper lies in our thoughts in first person? They are crafty in their trickery. I mean, why would we fight a foe that we don’t realize is even in our ears?
Yesterday our pastor said, “Don’t elevate the words of the enemy over the Word of God.”
How do we elevate the words of the enemy? We elevate the devils words when we AGREE with the lies we hear. When we agree with the lies we stand on them as “truth” when actually they are a lie.
John 8:44(b)
He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
There you have it. Satan is the father of lies. It is his native language. There is NO TRUTH in him. If what you hear about yourself doesn’t line up with God’s Word, then you KNOW the source of the deception.
If you have read my blog posts over the years, you know I have stressed the importance of knowing God’s Word for yourself. How else will you know when a thought is in error? How else will you recognize a lie?
Here is a dose of truth for you:
You are THE HEAD and not the tail!
You are ABOVE and not beneath.
You are MORE THAN a conqueror through Christ Jesus.
You are a child of the Most High God.
You are blessed coming in and blessed going out!
You have been equipped with every good thing!
God loves you so much! So much, that He sent Jesus to carry your sins and provide open door access to the Father. He desires intimacy with you. Please spend time with Him today.
