It is about to begin!
The rush and the hustle of fall.
My daughter goes back to school today for a short period, then she officially starts on Monday.
Where did the summer go?
Ah, the lazy days of summer?
Since 2012 was such a BAD summer with both of my parents dying and the summer of 2013 had some stressful moments, I wanted my daughter to have nothing but fun this year. She literally had sleepovers the entire summer! Add movies, pool time, a beach trip, mountain trips with friends, shopping, etc … To top it off, she ended the summer with pet hermit crabs and on August 10th we get a PUPPY! Yes, I’d say she had a great summer!

Oh, but fall … school, homework, studying, guitar lessons, swim lessons, and the corn maze. Heavy sigh. Is it November yet?
Yes, it is about to begin!
No more sleeping late for her. No more wearing PJ’s until 9am for me.

howdy FMF neighbor! I celebrate summer too! We have one full week left next week then back to school on 8/11 here too! It feels good though. We had a super summer, and it sounds like you did too! God bless us as we mother through the next school year! Peace for the journey friend! JKC
Hi Beth! Glad to find you through FMF. 😀 I agree, summer has gone too quickly…always does, it seems. I’m so sorry you lost both of your parents last year, I can’t imagine. I lost my mother thirteen years ago, but can’t related to losing both. Bless you and your family the rest of this summer…Meredith
