I spent time out on my deck reading the Word this morning and I noticed two of the potted plants that I “rescued” last week.  Do you remember the post I wrote where I saw something beautiful in the midst of the weeds?  Well, get ready for another analogy!

A little bit of WEEDING, WATER, and SUNLIGHT turned what was once THIS …

Into THIS …

I could hardly believe how much it had grown in a weeks time!

We need weeding, watering, and the light of the SON as well.  How do we increase our faith and grow?  Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)

How many of you water your faith by hearing the Word of God on a consistent basis?  When the rains come and the winds blow — it is a little late to THEN begin to build your faith.  It is better to be prepared in my opinion.

Did you know that FAITH is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen?  Did you know that without FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God?  For us to go to God, we must believe that He IS, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  That takes faith.  (Hebrews 11:1; Hebrews 11:6)

We should WALK BY FAITH, not by SIGHT.  Don’t you realize that what we see and feel isn’t as REAL as what we DON’T see?  You might want to read that again.  There is a realm around us that many Christians don’t “walk” in … and it is REAL.  Faith is the SUBSTANCE and is EVIDENCE of things not seen. (2 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 11:1)

Do you remember the story of the woman with the issue of blood?  It was by HER FAITH that she was made whole.  (Matthew 9:20-22)

How do you water your faith?  By HEARING the Word of God.  How often are you watering your faith?  (Romans 10:17)

When you hear a doctor’s report — do you believe it over God’s Word?  Yes, in the natural our bodies manifest things that come against us, but still — in your heart of hearts, WHOSE word will you believe the most.  Your faith should not stand in the wisdom of MEN, but in the power of God.  (1 Corinthians 2:5)

You have faith to believe you are saved by grace, correct?  The Lord said that if you had faith as small as a grain of mustard seed you can command a tree to be plucked up by the root and be thrown into the sea.  (Ephesians 2:8; Luke 17:6)

Faith is powerful!  It is free!  It is here for our taking.  All we have to do is believe.  Just as we believe Jesus died for our sins — we believe the rest of God’s Word as well.  Faith is mine!  Faith is yours!

Be encouraged!  Have faith!  God sent His Word and healed us.  He delivered us from our destruction.  He forgave our iniquities and healed all our diseases.  (Psalm 107:20; Psalm 103:3)

Build up your faith today and chew on the Word of God.  Read it out loud so you can HEAR it as well.

YOU SHALL NOT DIE, BUT LIVE, AND DECLARE THE WORKS OF THE LORD.  Do you believe that?  Then shout it!  God will not break His covenant with us.  He will not take back one single word of it.  (Psalm 118:17; Psalm 89:34)

This isn’t something that someone else can do for you.  Fill yourself and build your faith each day.

Isn’t His Word alive?  Isn’t it LIVING and POWERFUL?  When we speak it, read it, sing it — things HAPPEN.  The Word MOVES through our atmosphere and brings CHANGE.  (Hebrews 4:12; Isaiah 55:1)

Open your Bible, your mouth (by speaking the scriptures), and open your ears.  Faith comes by HEARING and HEARING by the Word of God.

Bless you today!
