coginclockA person can go for years without knowing there is a buried area in her life that needs healing.   I’m not talking about physical healing, though emotional/spiritual healing can definitely affect the physical realm.   I am talking about emotional pain.

The Lord recently revealed to me that He was doing a deep plowing in my life and there was an area I thought had been healed but was buried so deeply that I didn’t realize it was still there.

I’m thankful He warned me because things have been interesting to say the least.

If you have ever seen the earth deeply plowed — then you understand how much stuff is turned over.   The disc blades are sharp and they force what is underneath to turn over to the surface.

When an area of hurt is exposed, it can feel like a big splinter continuing to get knocked by others.   Ouch!   It has to come up to come out though, right?   Just like the splinter festers to bring it to the surface, the pain of hurt must surface.

I am so grateful that God has exposed this hidden wound!

Through this process, this scripture has continually come to me:

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Hallelujah!   ALL THINGS are working together for my good!

I am grateful!

The Lord gave me a visual of a damaged cog.   Sometimes the damage or (hurt) isn’t visible to the untrained eye …

However, if you look at the fine connections within a clock — each cog is needed.   Each cog has a purpose.   Whatever hurts we have in our lives can throw things off balance.   How can things run as they should with damaged cogs clogging up the system?

We are loved by a Beautiful Healer!   Seriously, God loves us so much!

I am excited because anytime God brings us through a season of healing, there is a blessing around the corner!  He is preparing me for something and I can’t wait to see what He has planned!

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

I’m not alone in this (welcome to the human condition, right?).   Each of us have something in our lives that only God can reveal and heal.   If you ask Him to show you, He is faithful to do it.

I pray everyone is having a great start in 2015!

I am excited to start off this new year with The Lord!
