I was watching Sid Roth’s television show, It’s Supernatural, and thought I’d share some things that were discussed during his interview with Tony Kemp (pictured here).

Tony shared about a prophecy given during the Azusa Street meetings that took place in the early 1900’s.

1 Timothy 1:4
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons …

The Holy Spirit said that people would DEPART from the faith.  He didn’t say reject the faith.    They would gradually depart from the truth and the grace message of Jesus.  The message of grace may not be exactly what you’re thinking.   Is God’s grace a free license to do whatever you want?   Remember, even the demons believe in Jesus and tremble at his Name.   Believing in Jesus isn’t all that is required of us.

2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

Some will NOT hold on to sound doctrine.

So here is the prophecy given back between 1909-1910.   It shall come to pass in the last days of the last pentecostal movement that the following things will occur:

1.  The people will praise a God they no longer pray to.

The Apostle Paul said FIRST PRAYERS, supplications, intersessions … THEN give thanks/praise.

1 Timothy 2:1-4
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2.  The leaders would emphasize power instead of right living.

We rarely hear about living pure lives that line up with the word of God because that isn’t politically correct.

3.  People would emphasize the gifts of the Spirit instead of the Lordship of Jesus the Messiah.

Tony said:

Do we need praise and worship in the church?  YES, but every single one of us who are disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ need to have a prayer life.

Do we need the power of the Spirit and the demonstration of the Spirit in the church?  ABSOLUTELY, but we need to practice right living every single day.

Do we need the gifts of the Spirit and the manifestations of the glory of God?  YES we do, but we need to do so in submission to the person of Jesus.  And in surrender to Jesus — in obedience to the Lordship of Jesus the Messiah.

(Ouch!  This really convicts me because my prayer life is NOT what it once was.  I have been so distracted.  I don’t mean the SOS prayers or the prayer of covering, but true intercession.  Sigh.)

Tony goes on to discuss counterfeit grace.   He also doesn’t believe that once saved, always saved.    You can watch the interview by clicking HERE

I was taught in church that once we were saved we were always saved.  But this is what Tony and Sid shared about the subject …

Jesus said when speaking to His disciples in Matthew 24:13, “He who endures to the end shall be saved.”    Jesus was talking to those who were already His followers.   Tony believes Jesus was saying that we must obey Him until the end of our lives.

The Apostle Paul said in Romans 11:22, “Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God; on those who fell, severity;  but toward you, goodness, IF you continue in His goodness.  Otherwise you also will be cut off.”

In Revelation 3:1-6 Jesus speaks to John about Sardis.   Jesus said there were a few in Sardis who had not defiled their garments and that THEY would walk with Him in white.

Revelation 3:5
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

After we are saved, we still need to repent of our sins.

Sid asked Tony:  Do we have to be born again TWICE?   Is that what you’re saying?

Tony answered, “No, that is not what I am saying.”    Then he shared:

Jesus said to one of the churches in the book of Revelation – you were born again, but because you chose to sin you died spiritually.

But when a person repents they come back to life spiritually.

Tony goes on to discuss God’s grace and also about those whose consciences are so seared and singed that they won’t repent.    Many quote Romans 8:1, but they don’t continue to quote the entire scripture.

Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.   For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

There is no condemnation for those who do not walk according to the flesh BUT according to the Spirit.

Please read the Bible for yourself and find truth in the scriptures.

I just thought I’d share.   I want all of us to be secure in our salvation.
