Sunday morning, someone asked the Lord to fill our church with His LOVE.  As he prayed, God showed me a picture.  Our church has stadium seating with an upper level and steps that come down towards the altar.   I saw a beautiful, thick substance that looked like the consistency of HONEY.   It was a deep rich red — alive with sparks of electricity inside.   That is the best way I can describe it.   The electric love was being pushed down the steps towards the altar like the force of the ocean pushes waves towards the coastline.

It was interesting to me that this substance reminded me of honey since the Bible often mentions honey.  The promised land was said to flow with milk and honey.   My vision showed this holy honey flowing.

God’s love …

1 Corinthians 13:1-3
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

How can we fathom God’s love?

The older I get, the more I realize that we are NOTHING spiritually if we don’t walk in the love of God.   He loves people!   Yes, He is Righteous and Holy, but LOVE is important to Him!

1 Corinthians 13:4-6
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

I don’t know about you, but I can always walk more in love.  Even if things don’t leave my lips, my thoughts are not always long-suffering and kind.  Oh how I wish I was never easily provoked.  I have plenty of areas to grow.

1 Corinthians 13:13
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Wow, love is greater than FAITH.  We can’t please God without faith.  As a matter of fact, in Hebrews 11 verse 6 the Scripture reads that it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God without faith — yet LOVE is greater!

I wondered why the Holy Spirit showed me God’s love like He did.   Think about honey — it is SWEET!  God’s love is sweeter than we can describe!

Psalm 19:9-10
The fear of the Lord is pure,
    enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm,
and all of them are righteous.
They are more precious than gold,

    than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
    than honey from the honeycomb.

The decrees of the Lord are even declared to be sweeter than honey!

Honey is sticky …

Is God’s love sticky?  Do we walk through His love without being changed?   Does He touch us with His love and leave a residue — a sweetness for all to smell and taste?

Doesn’t the Scripture say:

Psalm 34:8
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.

Love …

I want to be baptized in that living LOVE, full of sweetness and life!   Don’t you?

If God didn’t love us, He would have never sent Jesus to redeem us.  If Jesus didn’t love us, He wouldn’t have endured great suffering unto death for our sin.  The Holy Spirit loves us.  He is our Comforter, Teacher, and Advocate!

Yes, God is LOVE.  His very essence must be filled with love.

What a wonderful Holy Abba Father I have!
