weightofitall

I have so much to be thankful for every day, but I’m not feeling joyful at the moment.

There are things happening with some friends that I can’t wrap my understanding around.   I am awake at 3am, pondering it all.  Praying … wondering … asking why — weighing it all.

The Holy Spirit is the giver of wisdom, right?  He is our Teacher and our Comforter.   We don’t serve a distant God.  Our Abba Father is near and His heart is for us.  Yet there are times when the scripture, “His ways our not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts” just leaves me hanging and feeling like it is only an excuse.   It is an easy “out” to stop searching for answers sometimes.  I know that God’s Word is alive and active — I am not making light of any scripture.  But you see there is an area of God’s Word that I am driven to pursue.  This drive has been in me for most of my adult life!  I can hear the religious voices whispering, “Well, it was God’s Will …”  But I DON’T believe that for a second when it comes to things like this.

Isaiah 55:8
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.

I recently watched an interview of someone else with this same drive in her heart to see people healed.  She eventually saw breakthrough and now walks in the fruit of her desire.

Psalm 37:4
Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Call me crazy (though I’m not), but I must see more breakthrough in this area!

I feel like I am missing a key, but I recently received a large teaching package from Andrew Wommack’s ministry in the mail that I pray holds that beautiful key within.

Do I think there is a formula?  No.   But I want to gain more understanding.

Joy.

The joy comes …

Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.

Though I lack understanding sometimes, I have no choice but to trust in Him.  Even when things aren’t as we had prayed, God is good and is faithful.  He loves His people and never leaves us alone or abandons us.

I love Him and He loves me.  He loves you too!  He is a good Father!

I am linking with Lisa Jo Baker today for her 5-Minute Friday.  She provides the prompt and we write for 5 minutes to see what comes out.   Today’s prompt:  JOY.   Forgive me if this post sounds random.
