Ok, so it isn’t snowing HERE (yet), but it is for my blogging buddy Billy Coffey!  He just published HIS FIRST novel entitled: SNOW DAY

I have enjoyed getting to know Billy through his blog (What I Learned Today).  He is quite a character and I LOVE his God-given talent!  I am always in awe after I read one of his posts.

When I first “met” Billy, I believed everything he posted was what he had experienced — THEN I guess the Holy Spirit finally gave me a clue.  I probably made a nut out of myself when I first started leaving him comments.  But being the awesome writer that he is — he never let me know what was fiction and what was fact.  (Probably chuckling at me crying over his stories!)

When I found out he had published his first novel, I knew I would love it!  I was right!

Billy, in his generosity, sent me a signed copy of his novel!  I was like a child at Christmas when I opened the package!

Billy is so reflective in his writing style!  I almost feel like I’m listening to the narrator of The Walton’s.  Do you remember that sweet show from the 70’s/80’s?  Seriously, Billy has the gift of pulling you right into his stories — tugging at your heart strings the entire time.  Since I have a sense of “knowing” his personality (at least what he has shown in cyberspace) I could envision him as his main character in this novel.  I can also relate to his southern humor since I am a native southerner myself.  (Don’t worry, non-southerners will love this novel too!)

Everyone can relate to the main character, Peter Boyd (aka Billy to me!).  He shares his struggles and his “ah-ha” moments with the Lord.  (His epilogue made me want to cry!)

I don’t want to give away ANY information about the plot, so I won’t say too much.

I will say that I was SAD when it ended.  I wanted MORE.  THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE DIDN’T WRITE ENOUGH.  This is how I feel when I read a Francine River’s novel too.  I get so wrapped up in the character’s life that I don’t want the story to end.

For Christmas, I would love to offer some blessed reader a copy of Billy’s wonderful novel!

If you’re interested, let me know.  If you post about my giveaway, I’ll put your name in twice.  In a week or so (when I get a chance) I’ll pick the winner by using Random.org.

If you win, you WON’T be disappointed.
