Psalm 15:1-5

Lord, who may dwell in Your sacred tent?
    Who may live on Your holy mountain?
The one whose walk is blameless,
    who does what is righteous,
    who speaks the truth from their heart;
 whose tongue utters no slander,
    who does no wrong to a neighbor,
    and casts no slur on others;
who despises a vile person
    but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
    and does not change their mind;
who lends money to the poor without interest;
    who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things

    will never be shaken.

That is a tall order to fill isn’t it?   Of course it is great to aim for such a stellar character, but we all know how difficult it is to control even the smallest member of our bodies: our tongues.

Thankfully, the precious blood of Jesus is what the Father sees when He looks at His children.  When we repent of our sins, they are washed away as far as the east is from the west.

It is our duty to allow the Word of God to renew our minds and change our hearts.  We also need to spend time in God’s presence.    Joyce Meyer once said that marinating in God’s presence made her sweeter.    What a true statement!  You can’t help but carry His scent if you spend time with Him.

Daddy God wants us to spend time with Him.   Don’t you spend time nurturing relationships here on earth?  How much more should we want to nurture our relationship with our Lord?

Do you realize the God who created the heavens and the earth wants to spend time with You?

In the past, it was easier for me to feel safe with Jesus and with the Holy Spirit — but I feared rejection and rebuke from God.   I have healing in that area now and am approaching Him with great expectation in my heart.   Just as a child should be able to run into the arms of her parents — I run to my Daddy God.

His Word is true:

Hebrews 4:16
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

He is waiting for you.
