I had the silliest dream this morning.  In this dream I was trying to find an area where I could write in my journal and spend some time with the Lord.  As I was searching for a quiet spot, I ended up in my friend Maegan’s kitchen!  The details are just too funny and strange to share, but in my dream this song was playing loudly.  People were dancing around and being silly — full of JOY.  It was great seeing my friend Maegan who is usually so reserved just being like a kid.  (Fun dream!)

I have had this song in my head ever since I awakened.

Who would have thought that such a silly song would have had a prophetic message in it for me.  I feel like the lyrics to this song (which I didn’t even know until I searched YouTube this morning).

With everything happening right now, I don’t feel like I can get away.  We were SUPPOSED to leave for the mountains today to tag Christmas trees, but when my husband started talking to our daughter about leaving, she began to cry.  She said, “We can’t leave Grandma and Diddilee.  Someone has to take care of them!”   I picked her up and put her in my lap and she said, “Granddaddy is too wiggly and can’t walk.  He might fall.  We can’t leave them.”

1.  GUILT for allowing her to hear MY OWN FEAR and conversations about my parents.

2.  Thankful that she has a heart of compassion.

So back to the song.  The Lord knew I needed such a light-hearted song to start my day.

Even though I feel emotional one minute — the next I am laughing.  It is true, I get down and HE LIFTS ME UP!

It is easy to just go with the emotions and allow sorrow, grief, and the like to set in, but I must be mindful and push back.  The JOY OF THE LORD is my STRENGTH!

I will praise my Lord!

Psalm 7:17
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High.

Happy Veteran’s Day to all of you who served our country!  I am so grateful for your sacrifices and for the sacrifices of your families.  God bless YOU and God bless the USA!
