In my circle of friends over the years I have seen a pattern repeat itself in different conversations.

Many of us are waiting for something spectacular to move us into ministry.  Perhaps we are waiting for a particular gift to manifest.  Maybe we are waiting for partnership.  The list could go on and on.  But what are we doing right now?   God has us HERE for a reason.

Doesn’t the scripture state that we need to be ready in and out of season?

Yesterday I had a funeral employee call me about my Mom’s service.  He was following up to make sure all had gone well, but God had something else planned.   When I asked him how he was I found out that he recently had serious back surgery and the pain was just as bad as it was before!

Remember, we live in the HERE and NOW — so I said, “May I pray for your back?”  He said yes, sure you can.  Then I asked, “Can you hold the phone with one hand and place the other hand where you feel pain?”  I think he was surprised, but he cooperated.

I prayed for him and he felt the pain lift.   God used that time as a teaching moment for him.   He confessed to be a Christian — so I told him he has that same authority!   Jesus has done all that He had to do for us to walk in victory.  It is up to us to walk in that authority.

He kept thanking me and starting writing down the exact words I had prayed over him so that he could pray them for himself.

I taught him a speed lesson about “trauma” and how it hides, etc …

I did it right HERE.  I didn’t wait until I felt something supernatural.  I didn’t wait until I heard God tell me to do something.

Our life is NOW.  Each day there is a HERE moment.  What are we going to do with it?
