Today’s prophetic word from Marsha Burns made me think about my emotional responses to people lately:

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:

Things are not always as they seem.  Take care not to presume or make assumptions based on what you see or don’t see.  This will only lead you down the path of error and inappropriate mental and emotional responses.  Rest in what you know to be reality both in the spiritual realm and in the natural realm.  Maintain and protect your faith in Me, says the Lord.  I will lead you in the way of truth.

Psalms 19:13   Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.

How many times have I reacted lately without a filter of mercy over my thoughts and over my heart?

This is my first day of getting back to my normal schedule without our seasonal corn maze.   I already feel so much more peace … The phones are starting to quiet down and eventually my family will have a chance to spend some time together.

Marsha advised us not to presume or assume by what we see or don’t see.   When you are stressed and someone has an ugly reaction towards you,  I doubt you will stop to think about the type of day they have had that spurred their attitude.   The ONLY way to walk in that type of maturity and peace is to spend time marinating in God’s Presence.

I have been dry.

It is time to marinate again and change my heart attitude.  I need His sweetness to rest upon me and soften me.

Soften …

Become tender …

Ephesians 4:32
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

With the Lord, we can be kind and forgiving … full of mercy and grace.    That is my prayer for myself today and I pray this for you as well.

Have a blessed November 1st everyone!
