helponeanother

My friend Brent just posted this photo on a social networking site.  It pulled on my heart.   I DO want to walk hand in hand with you and help you anyway I can.

May I be real here?

I think I have experienced every emotion this past week.   I went from shock to anger, from anger to grief,  and from grief to aggravation.   I feel sad for many and I feel regret for what could possibly happen in this nation.   I feel anger towards so many other people who confess Christ, but have chosen to ride the politically-correct train.  I don’t want anger in my heart and I continue to ask forgiveness.

GOD, PLEASE HELP ME.

I am sad that people think they were born in a way that goes against the Word of God.   I’m frustrated that I can’t even discuss this without being called “hateful” or not representing Christ.

What?

I can relate to what Bert Farias said in his article published through Charisma:

(To the homosexual.) The true Christian community sees your house burning down and is trying to rescue you from a certain damnation. Those who are affirming your lifestyle are like those who watch you burn in the hellfire and tell you that everything is alright and God is actually proud of you.

Do you see the utter hypocrisy and deception of it all? Do you see the mockery of it?

Your approvers are tools of Satan. They are telling you what the devil told Eve. The government, the media, public opinion gone mad, and the courts are telling you:

“You surely will not die.” (Gen. 3:4)

They are not your friends! They are your enemies in disguise!

I just want to shout from the mountain tops that THIS IS NOT RIGHT!  This is NOT what God has planned for your life.  There is hope and deliverance.   THIS DOES NOT MEAN I DON’T LOVE YOU!

I want to shout GOD LOVES YOU and just because I stand on God’s Word DOESN’T MEAN I don’t love you!

When Christians try to declare the danger of sin, we are mocked as the morality police.

So who will tell them?

I don’t want to have the blood of people on my hands when they face God one day and say,  “Why didn’t Beth tell me?  She knew!”

Some Christians say, “A sin is a sin” but does the Bible call each sin an abomination?   No.

Leviticus 18:22
You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.

The definition of abomination:
1.  anything abominable; anything greatly disliked or abhorred.
2. intense aversion or loathing; detestation:
He regarded lying with abomination.
3. a vile, shameful, or detestable action, condition, habit, etc.:

Romans 1:26-28
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

Have you ever been given over to a debased mind?   I have had discernment about people before, but because of my own unmet needs and desires,  I have ignored the warnings of the Holy Spirit and crossed over into danger.   Eventually, the Holy Spirit will be silent and let us use our free will.   Does that make it right?  NO.

Yes, God forgives when we repent.

Yes, we all need Jesus!  I have been the worst of sinners.  There is no hope for me without the blood of Jesus!

But the world isn’t trying to make things that I have struggled with in life OKAY.   Sure, the world will act like the world.  Is that a shock?  NO — but why do many Christians look just like the world?  We shouldn’t.

1 Timothy 10:8-11
Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

WHATEVER is contrary to sound doctrine.   That covers a lot doesn’t it?   Murderers, abusers of parents, sexually immoral, liars, perjurers and more.

When we repent of sin in our lives, we have the intent to turn around and move in another direction.

I feel love, mercy, and compassion for all who are hurting.   I don’t struggle with homosexuality, but I have been judged for many other things I’m sure.   I have been judged for my weight.   I have been judged for always wanting more than lukewarm religious activities.  I am always going against the grain it seems, but I DON’T know how it feels to desire someone that the Bible says is wrong.  I did live most of my life bound by the devil in different areas — so with that I CAN identify with bondage.  I can also share as one from the other side of bondage that FREEDOM is much better!

God set me free and if He set me free, He will do the same for you.

May I share something with you?  In the natural, I have never seemed to have a voice!  Even my own husband often talks over me when I am mid-sentence.  Satan has wanted to keep me quiet all of my life.  But this is precious … When I have had visions of Jesus, He is always SO EXCITED to see me and HEAR what I have to share.   The joy on His face is foreign to me and the world around me.

He feels the same way about you!  He is love my friends.

He loves you!

He knows your heart and He knows your struggles!    Though you feel misunderstood and perhaps you don’t understand why you have the feelings you do — RUN TO GOD.   He promises if you seek Him with all of your heart, YOU WILL find Him.

Deuteronomy 4:29
But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find Him, if you search after Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Saul murdered Christians before he became Paul.  He saw his sin for what it was and changed his life.  God used him to spread the gospel!

What is the plan God has for your life?

Don’t let well-meaning people derail God’s best for you through the guise of “love” …

God loves you more and has His own perfect plan for your life.   He can turn every mess into a testimony.
