This post is a continuation of yesterday post To Heal the Heart. As I was busy taking notes from Dr. Mark Virkler’s CD, I wondered if I was infringing on his “copywrite” somehow. I definitely don’t want to do anything wrong. I would feel much more comfortable if I could ask him if I could share what I gleaned from his teachings.

So unless I speak to him, I will just share today’s information and you’ll need to order the CD’s to find out the rest. You could even ask him to come speak at your church. To find out more information, please click HERE.

Dr. Virkler describes some of the things you might find in a WOUNDED HEART: Someone who is troubled, sorrowful, depressed, angry, discouraged, forsaken, grieved, enraged, distressed, doubting, haughty, defiled, jealous, fearful, rejected, bitter, etc … Anything that doesn’t line up with FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE would be an attribute of a wounded heart.

Ask: Holy Spirit, what is in MY heart?

Did you know that positive and negative energies operate within the heart? Dr. Virkler has had some reactions to the word “energy” because it sounds like a New Age term, but it is actually biblical.

There are THREE primary words in the New Testament that translate to power. One is EXOUSIA. It means RIGHT or PREROGATIVE. For example, you have the right/prerogative to cast demons out of people. The next word is DUNAMIS. It means MIGHT, FORCE, or POWER. We have the authority to cast out demons, but we ALSO have the MIGHT in the Name of Jesus. The third word is inergus. This is where we get the word energy. (If anyone knows the correct way to spell this word, PLEASE let me know.) I really hate to publish this without the correct spelling (sigh). Apparently this word means ACTIVE ENERGY. One example of a scripture using this term is Ephesians 2.

Ephesians 2:2-3
… in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Dr. Virkler states that before we were saved, we were ENERGIZED by evil.

We are vessels who contain something or someone. Before salvation, we had darkness.

Demons can influence our behavior when we have “triggers” in our hearts. Triggers/negative energy … whatever you want to call it. Dr. Virkler states that ALL of this can be gone when we cut off everything FEEDING the negative energy.

He shared 7 different steps (areas of prayer) that sever the strands that feed negative things into our hearts.

1. Breaking generational sins and curses.

Exodus 20:4-6
You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.

Some disagree with this teaching about curses being handed down, but I am putting it out there since Dr. Virkler mentioned it. I don’t know about you, but I want to cover ALL bases.

2. Sever ungodly soul ties (this includes ungodly covenants). A soul tie is a close bonded relationship with another person.

3. Replace negative belief/expectation/negative faith. God does reward positive faith, but negative faith reaps a reward as well. According to our faith it is given to us. Faith is a power that creates and draws things. What are you expecting?

4. Renounce inner vows along with every ungodly promise. With every negative belief, there is a promise attached.

5. Receive divine visions/pictures to heal traumatic scenes. These negative pictures generate negative energy in our hearts. Ask the Lord where He was and what He was doing during the negative/traumatic scene in your mind. Replace the negative with the new picture from Jesus. The NEW scene produces life.

6. Break word curses.

Cast out the demons.

7. Experience the law of life in Christ Jesus (vs. the law of sin and death). Replace the law of sin.

Romans 7:11-25

For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good. Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.

We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

Sin has within you, but apply Romans 8:2 to BREAK the sin.

Romans 8:2
… because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

An example of applying this verse: If you are struggling to love someone who isn’t being kind to you … Holy Spirit, I thank You that You live within me. I thank You that Your love flows within me and I release Your love to this person right now in Jesus’ Name.

WE ARE DISMANTLING THE DEMONS HOUSE.

We pull the foundations up first — generational curses.
Then we pull the floor boards up — soul ties.
Then we pull the walls down — negative beliefs and inner vows.
Then we rip the roof off — traumatic scenes/pictures.
THEN WE CAST THE DEMONS OUT.

If you dismantle the demons house (his anchors) he will leave in a couple of minutes.

Once the curses are broken and the demons are out, you must WALK OUT your deliverance/freedom to seal the victory.

Ok folks, that is it. I hope these past two posts have stirred up a hunger in you to know more. I want complete freedom! How about you?
