IMG_3926I feel convicted when I begin to whine about this season each year.

Each summer my husband and others plant our corn maze.  There is a lot of physical labor involved for the men, but FOR ME — emails and phone calls bombard my space.

Colossians 3:15
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

It truly is a great way to make residual income.   Agritourism is a great field (pardon the pun) to have as a career — especially when we are surrounded by suburbia.   We could do this until retirement, but I don’t know that this is what God has planned for us.

We started this business because we wanted to give the local children some exposure to farm life and also help advertise our Christmas tree sells.  We had no idea so many people would support our efforts and come each year.    Thank you nice customers …

Thankful

Yes, I need to be thankful — even for this season that takes over our home and lives for a few months out of the year.

I am thankful that I get to see some sweet people who work with us.

I am thankful that people are prayed for during that time and many have received immediate healing.

I am thankful for God’s protection over our farm as thousands of people enter our gates.

Colossians 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

God wants us to have thankful hearts.  As a mom, I can understand that even more.   I want to bless our daughter when she is grateful and thankful for what she has been given.

I want to be a thankful child …

Father, as we begin our season next week, please remind me to be thankful for all things.  Please forgive me for grumbling and complaining about the work involved.  I pray each person who steps foot on our property would feel Your peace and Your love … in Jesus’ Name.  Amen.

Would each of you just take a moment and pray protection over our farm, family, employees, and guests?

Thank you!
