When I gathered these eggs yesterday I immediately thought of the scripture about us being a peculiar people.
1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light:
Just like these beautiful blue eggs that my Ameraucana chickens provided, WE stand out from the rest. We are different from those who walk in darkness.
We are royalty because our Father is the King of Kings!
We are peculiar!
The online Merriam-Webster dictionary defines peculiar as:
When people examine your life, are you peculiar? Do you STAND OUT and look different from those who don’t know Jesus?

What beautiful eggs! I love it when God gives us something and we know it comes straight from Him. Yes! we are a peculiar people. Although, at times being peculiar is not always appreciated! If I do stand out, I pray it is for all the right reasons! May HE get the glory and honor.
Indeed! We are not of this world. When we give our lives to Christ we obtain HIS DNA… God is so AMAZING – Those blue eggs are so cool 🙂
